Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely credited with initiating the contemporary scientific study of children's witness memory as well as child victim witnesses within lawful situations. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded many grants and has received numerous international and national awards. She consults with numerous nations and organizations around the world on policies as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
